Forsaken

I'm not going to rage at you
You don't deserve that much
I won't expend the effort for
The tears and words and such

You no longer claim my hate
And merit not my scorn
I'll barely give you my contempt
For all the wounds you've torn

I feared you once but now I see
A man who is so small
The harshest I could say is true
I don't love you at all

Wow. That's powerful stuff.

Dear Daddy...

Many can relate to the sentiments expressed in this poem – although not all could express them so well.
(As for your relationship with your father – the passage of time may change things...)

most likely, once you get out from under their roof you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
